Paul T. Morris

 

Paul T. Morris, 74, an entrepreneur and patron of the arts, died in Bryn Mawr, PA on October 19, 2006.

Mr. Morris was born and raised in Philadelphia and graduated from LaSalle High School. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Saint Joseph's University and as a designated "Golden Hawk" was an ardent alumni supporter and Saint Joseph's University Class of '54 volunteer. After completing his ROTC program, Paul proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Lieutenant.

In 1962, Mr. Morris co-founded along with Sanford Fox, Fox-Morris Associates, an executive search firm. The Philadelphia based company quickly expanded and ultimately was recognized as one of the largest and highly respected privately held companies in their field. His management role enabled him to utilize his keen sense of advertising, business skills and career counseling expertise.

Paul Morris then started a small regional recruiting firm. The Morris Group. He enjoyed networking and acting as a mentor and career coach to job applicants and more recently to his own grandchildren.

Mr. Morris, in addition, was an enthusiastic supporter of the Arts in Philadelphia. Some of his favorite organizations included The Philadelphia Orchestra, Kimmel Center for the Arts and The Academy of Music.

He enjoyed traveling with his wife Peggy, family celebrations was a true car enthusiast. Paul recently served on the Board as Treasurer of his condominium residence in Rosemont and was an active member of Good Shepherd Church and formerly St. Peter Celestine in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Surviving are his wife Peggy, children, Paul Jr., Claudette DeLaurentis. Stephanie Johnson, Helen Lopez and Christopher, stepdaughter, Kimberley Hayes Cooper. Also survived by ten grandchildren and the mother of his children, Stephany F. Morris.

Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, mentor and friend. By his leadership and example of wisdom, generosity and humility- we have the strength to carry on.
